Crater Lake RV Trip

We were up early Sunday getting ready to leave for the week at Crater Lake, Oregon. By the end of the evening the vehicles were loaded, gassed up, and hooked up to each other. All we had to do was get up in the morning and turn the key to start out. We left at 8am and got into Diamond Lake RV Park, five miles outside the Crater Lake northern entrance, at 4pm almost on the dot. Nice park, wooded, by the lake, full hookups, firepits etc. They also have WiFi but for whatever it is not letting me load any pictures onto the blogspot. I will try again but if no show up I will post them this coming weekend from home.

We took the Wrangler, Susan and I and yes, Ollie too, and drove around the 33 mile Rim Road.

We will visit again tomorrow and take the Nikon and video camera...leaving Ollie in the rig while we are gone.

If you have never been here you should make an effort to visit. The weather is in the 90's, the RV park is very comfortable and the park itself is very beautiful. We stayed outside the park because of "first come first served" campgrounds in the park and they have very few large RV sites there, and the road in places is narrow with no barriers and a long long way down if you should make an error.

I will try and post a couple of snapshots we took today with our little camera. Not sure the Wi-Fi will allow it.
